Big Big Problem!!

ok well this sucks big time........I have a 98 z28 and i was taking the starter out to do some work on the engine and while i was loosening the two bolts off the bolt closest to the edge of the block came out and in the process cracked 1/2 the hole it screws into off the side of the block now the starter will not bolt up correctly and I cant drive the damn car does anyone have any ideas or suggestions how to fix this other then the obvious one of getting a new block which would be a huge pain in the ***>? thanks

I'd think you could easily weld it and re-tap the threads. Or redneck fix that'll probably work: JB weld
