Best street clutch...Spec, Centerforce???
Best street clutch...Spec, Centerforce???
hey need you guys" opinions on a good aftermarket clutch....58000 miles and tranny seems to grind a little....shifter area seems loud and im thinking it needs a clutch....pedal throw feels fine but the tranny is very noisy....any suggestions on a clutch??? thanks
the pure and simple answer is Cartek. their clutch grabs like a ****.
if you plan to stay in the 400-450rwhp range the Z06 clutch is a good low cost option

I have a Centerforce in my 2000 SS and love it.
I have heard many camaro guys say it isn't good for our car, but heard Many just plain car guys say its the best.
I have put 7000 miles on it and there are no signs of it slipping or anything. Feels A LOT stronger then both my stock clutch and a zo6 clutch.
One of the biggest things when getting a new clutch is braking it in. Centerforce recommended 500 miles.
All I know is that you will love an aftermarket clutch way more then your stock.

Well in my opion the SPEC is by far the best clutch. I have had a Centerforce in my old LT1 and it started slipping after about 12000 miles and had to replace it. I have never had the cartek but they say it a good clutch. If you can aford a McClead then every on says there the best. Bang for the buck SPEC. Bring rubber in 4th gear.
