I just put Magnaflow's Camaro/Firebird muffler on my car and it sounds great. It's deep, smooth, and clean.

Here's the one I bought:

Another Vote for magnaflow, deep nice sound, and one of the best flowing mufflers on the market today.

Actually SLP and Ultra Flo flow better they have larger tubes just more roving material. So they aren really loud. But I love the way my SS sounds.

The hooker aerochamber sounds real nice. Nice deep throaty sound with no crappy sound. I have one on my car and everyone loves the sound of it. But i'm getting rid of it as it's not loud enough for my liking. I'm going with the dynomax race bullet.

NO LS1 will ever sound like an LT1 BTW... You'll never get that old tone you used to have...

Just go out and try to hear as many different kinds of set-ups as you can until you find something you like...

i just installed the flowmaster #43083 on my WS6 on Friday. I honestly can't complain. I've had it for two days and I already got a complaint from one of my neighboors. IMO the best exhaust I've heard on an LS1 F-body is GMMG ( www.gmmginc.net ). I couldn't afford it so I just got the flowmaster for the time being.

I have the flowmaster american thunder catback on my car and it sounds great. It is a complete 3 inch system. Its a little quiet at idle but it has an awesome rumble to it when driving it. I also have an slp y-pipe and that made it sound even better. I have received many compliments on it. The best thing is that it is only $299.99 from summit. I think mine was around $315.00 when they added shipping to it. Hope this helps.

I have magnaflow ,I personaly think it sounds almost stock. I would never do it again.

By far the best sound I have heard is gmmg.......................

That is what I am wanting, my car 1998 firebird formula a4,lid otherwise stock.

Everyone told me to get magnaflow also so I did, what a mistake.
Maybe with headers it sounds alot better I don't know.

Definitely go with GMMG http://www.gmmginc.net . It is by far the best sounding cat-back for the LS1. Get it for $650 shipped at f-bodyhideout.com , talk to SleeperZ96BT for details.
