best shifter for m6?

What's the best? Slp, Pro 5.0, or B&M?

Pro 5.0 is generally considered the best. seen many polls on this topic...

as for me, i tried the Pro once and i didn't like the feel of it, too stiff...could have just been the way the guy had it adjusted.

for my car i pieced together a great budget shifter which i love

i paid $50 for a used SLP shifter from an SS camaro, then paid $55 or a lou's short stick...
combined they make for a great shifter. rock solid shifts, short thows and a nice short stick....all for $105 shipped!

Do a search because this subject comes up a lot.

My vote: Pro 5.0

The B&M is really nice too, it's a little "smoother" than the Pro 5.0 but the 5.0 has a more "positive" feel to it. If you can, try to find some cars in your area with different shifters and then decide from there.

My Hawk has the factory Hurst shifter, I like it pretty well but I don't have anything to compare it to. Would I recieve any benefits from a pro 5.0?

Definitely! When I bought my pro 5.0 I got my health and dental insurance paid for! But seriously, the pro 5.0 is by far the best shifter I've played around with. If you buy one, cut approx. 1" off for the perfect length.

BTW LS1-Maniac, are you ever in Danville or Lexington?

Yeah man, I'm moving to Lexington on the 22nd. I go to Danville sometimes but I haven't been there in a while.

UK classes start on August 27th, so I'll be back in Lex on the 24th. Are you going to school anywhere?

This is a good deal if you are getting the pro 5.0 and lou's short stick:

I dont like shifters that angle towards the driver.. I find that to be awkward as shifters should just be straight sticks.

I do think the Pro 5.0 is kewl.. I would not get the LSS for the angled issue. I just havent gotten one yet as I am seeing how long I can stay stock. hehe
Been 1 year and 1 week. Still bone stck! woo hoo!

I'm at Greg Page apartments. I bet you can't wait to park the Firehawk at the K-lot huh? I'm gonna be constantly f***in paranoid when I take the WS6 up there. College f-body owners usually cruise downtown Lex on the weekends. I'll probably see you around.

How does the Kirban compare to the B&M, Pro 5.0, and Hurst Billet Plus?
