Best Exhaust setup under $400? Best Lid?

Trying to get some kind of idea what would be the best exhaust setup for an LS1.

Also, what would be the best lid to go with on an 00 LS1 Ram Air.??

magnaflow or loudmouth catback.

the LM will be really loud if you plan to ditch the cats or get headers.

the magnaflow sounds great on the ls1, and you sould be able to find it for about $325 off ebay brand new

all the lids are basically the same. get the one you like the looks of or can afford.

You could run true duals. If done smart, you can have them done for under 400 dollars, depending on the mufflers you use

All the lids are pretty much the same. I've seen best results with the Direct Flo lids (LS1Motorsports) though. I'd say go with that one

I like my flowmaster, of course people think it flows poorly. The slp lid supposely fits really well and all lids perform about the same.

As mentioned the most lids will pretty much show the same hp gain. If your looking for an aggressive sound the Loudmouth is a good way to go!

Lids are all the same.

You can get Uncoated pacesetter headers and off road pipe for about $380 on ebay. Toss on a $30 cutout and you got full exjaust for ~ 400.

definitely loudmouth. that system is Pimp. as for lid i have the mti lid. and im happy with it. but i actually like the slp lid. i saw it up close and it was way better quality than my mti lid...i would shoot for the slp lid.

i was listening to some sound clips on ls1sounds and ive narrowed it down, between hooker 3" catback and loudmouth but if i go with lm ill put a chambered muffler in place of resonator so it sounds good, will the hooker flow as good as the lm with chambered muffler?
