Best Catback for pricewise? Sound? Performance? Overall?

My friend's brother is looking for an catback exhaust for his 02 A4 Z...

I know SLP, GMMG, Borla, Random Tech, magnaflow etc are all popular and good...

But i just wanted to hear YOUR opinions after getting the catback installed and what you would reccomend now, for his Z with FLP LT's....

Thanks guys..

I vote for the Flowmaster. Supposedly you can lose hp but the sound is awesome and for a great price. If you want performance the Gmmg, Borla, Magnaflow may be better. I like sound and you can always do other mods to make up for any loss.

with LT's i would stay away from any of the "open" exhausts...like borla and loudmouth...too raspy with no cat

now my magnaflow flows great but without cats it sounds a bit raspy at upper rpms.

i vote for the GMMG...it sounds amazing

have him check out www.ls1sounds.com

I had flowmaster on my LT1 and it did sound good, at the time. Then I put on the Hooker Cat Back and although it did quiet things down at crusing speeds(something my girl thanks me for) when you jump on it andything over 3K RPM's comes to life, sounds great. I know this is the current trend over on the LT1 side, try a search there.

I vote Magnaflow or Hooker. I love both of them. The Magnaflow sounds great on LT cars.

Best flow = Mufflex. No other comes in 3.5 or 4" piping.

For the price, you could have true duals made. Same goes for the GMMG. Then you would out flow them all, sound better than them all, and have a broader power band. Want quieter, go out the back with regular mufflers.

Check the LS1 boards for pictures of different set ups.
