Best bolt on's for an LS1
My brothers boss has a 2002 Collectors Edition Trans Am M6. the car is 100% stock, and maybe has 2000 miles on it. He wants me to install some bolt ons on the car, but I want to hear what you guys recomend. What does that car come equiped with as far as mods from the factory? Hurst Shifter? SLP exhaust? If you guys can list some mods for me that would be great.

4.10s.
As far as SLP options, it all depends on what the car was ordered with. But considering its a collectors edition TA, its most likely loaded to the gills.
Since he most likely already has the SLP Lid, I think a good start would be a ported and polished TB. Bauer Racing makes a pretty kickass product.
Oh, and SPRINGS. Put that thing out of its 4X4 misery, and lower it.
Oh yeah, and 4.10s. Did I say that already?

What's the budget?
The top of my list would be the skip-shift eliminator and a new shifter, i.e. the Pro 5.0.
If you consider gears to be bolt-ons, then that would be next on the list, followed by the lid and some sort of exhaust mod, be it expensive and intensive like headers/off road y/catback, just a catback, or just an electric cutout.
Hey guys, thanks for the replies so far. As far as a budget, this guy really doesnt have one, this guy is President of a mortgage branch. Ordering 2 or 3 grand worth of bolt ons in one shot would be a drop in the bucket for him. So far, here is the list I have come up with:
air lid
cat back
headers
throttle body
skip shift eliminator
Pro 5.0 shifter
Anything else? how about pullies? preference for aftermarket programing? thermostat? MAF? Keep the list coming, I would like to order everything in one shot if possible, thanks.

www.texas-speed.com is the website for the TSP lid. They claim an additional 7 RWHP over the other competitors, but who knows. I do know it is designed differently though. Do a search on LS1TECH.com
Its something about the corners of the lid being utillized for airflow more than the conventional lids.
