Belt noise

Does anyone know of a good way to rid of the noise coming from the serpantine belt,it sometimes sounds like there's a small bird under my hood. The dealer said it was the belt tensioner and replaced it and the noise went away for about 1 year and now it's back,a little worse on damp days.Small problem i know, but the noise drives me nuts

...I had the same problem, I just changed the belt and it's all gone...do not spray any dressing on the belt, I made that mistake...the average life of a belt is 20k miles...

The "chirping" noise you are hearing comes from humidity in the air being absorbed into the belt, that is why it sounds worse on damp days until the heat under the hood and rotation of the belt dry it out again. Find yourself a high quality replacement belt and you should be fine. Stay away from Kelly/Springfield serpentine belts. I tried them on my Dodge and after 8k they started making noise every time it was the least bit humid or rained. The slightly higher priced Goodyear belt lasted 25k before it started making noises. Hope this helps,
Kris
