BBK shorties
BBK shorties
Bbk shorties
Here's a link to them at jegs in the catalog, about 400, just wondering if they are going to give me a noticeable increase in sound/performance, i want my magnaflow to roar, i was thinking lt's but i need to keep emmisions and they might be a little hard to mount up, FLP'S are nice but pricey... let me know what you think guys

Shorties are a wast of time in our cars. The stock manifolds flow almost as well as shorties. If you don't want LT's, get Mid-Length headers. You won't have a problem with emission with those.
I think Mac Performance makes the best ones. You can get them with the Off road y-pipe $500-something , or the catalytic y-pipe $700-something.
I would recommend the Off road pipe, and back in the stock cats. The Mac cats have a tendency to throw error codes very often. Plus it will save you like $150.
I think the Macs will make about 20 rwhp. Shorties might give you 5 rwhp.

Those BBK's don't look like they will bolt to your stock y-pipe. Those look more like mid length. My car came with the Hooker shorties that Tbyrne sells, bolts up to stock y-pipe. The 98-99 manifolds don't flow as well as the 00-02 so you may see 8-10 hp over your stock manifolds.
