Bank 2 # 2
Re: Bank 2 # 2
Alright well, i replaced the 02 sensor and i cold started the car 4 times and the light still remained on.
So now i just pulled the PCM Batt and IGN fuses and let the car sit for about 5 mins and the light still remained on upon start up. I know i was only throwing a code for the rear 02 cant figure out why the light is still on.
If this doesnt work i am just going to pull the batt cable and see if that clears it

Well shoot, pulling the fuses should've worked - people have been resetting their PCM that way for a long time now. You pulled the PCM BATT and PCM IGN fuses right? The IGN fuse is different. If it's still on after disconnecting the battery there's two possibilities: 1) It's a new problem, or 2) The "kid" at Autozone misdiagnosed the original DTC. You can also go back and have it scanned again and have them clear the code.

Hey bud, well i unplugged both the IGN and BATT fuses and let it sit for about 15 mins. Then i turned the key to off and then replaced the fuses then started it up and it worked. However, i drove the car for 1/4 mile then the light came back on
I went to autozone and they said that the PCM is still showing that the o2 sensor is bad and that now i have another code for my secondary air injection. I just replaced the o2 sensor yesterday and by secondary air injection i guess they mean air pump which i replaced 2 years ago with one with less miles on it then my car had at the time. I can hear the air pump working so i know its functional i am just woundering why those codes popped up now after being fine for about 2 weeks now
Could the PCM have triggered anything else by me removeing those 2 fuses? I am getting real tired of tinkering with my car and i am tired of that SES light stareing at me. I sprayed the PCM connectors with come cleaner after i pulled the fuses but i doubt that would have caused anything to go wrong.
I did exactly what you said turn car to on, pull fuses, let sit, turn car to off, replace fuses then start car.

No sorry, the kid didnt give me a print out, he just said that i had 5 codes, the o2 sensor still showed up bad and he said that it was the secondary air injection which he didnt know what it meant. I looked on the sheet and it just siad could be fuse, relay, and that it needs to be take to a mechanic. Something about the air valve too i believe i am sorry i cant be more helpfull

Man, I wish you were here in Jacksonville...we could nail this down in just a few minutes. You really need the codes to tell what's going on. The secondary air problem probably isn't the fuse or the pump/relay since it's working...most likely just a clogged air check valve...but don't even know which side without the codes. I'm sure you don't want to just start changing parts until the light disappears...is there any way to get the codes, car club member with a scanner in your area, or go to another Autozone that'll let you write the codes down.

Thanks for the help, i think i am just gunna drop it off at my local mechanic since i have no idea whats going on with the car. The o2 sensor should be working since i got it NEW. I think that maybe the connector may be dirty and causing a low voltage but then again it looked clean to me when i changed it. As far as the secondary air injection i have no idea, i will try to take it to another place to get it scanned and post the codes.
