ASR on or off when racing???
Should I get better times with ASR or Traction Control on or off when racing my car? The reason why I'm asking is because I recently tested my with the G-Tech, and here are my results.....
G-Tech:
0-60 with ASR On: 4.9 seconds
0-60 with ASR Off: 5.6 seconds, couldn't get any traction off the line....
1/4 mile with ASR On: 13.2 at 112.5 mph
So what gives? I though the ASR kills performance?

It is very hard to get traction on the street, compared to the track. When I race (at the track) I have the ASR off. I have to, I use a line lock and ET-Street with a loose converter.
On the street, I leave the ASR on. ASR will retard timing, some other stuff, and push the throttle pedal back at you (depending on how bad the lose of traction is).

Gotta come down on Phantom's side - - ASR off and you'll see why when you learn how to control her off the line at the track. I know I did. ASR is great for pulling your bacon out of the fire in a street situation, but name of the game in racing is the hook up, and you have to feel it and control it. ASR doesn't respond fast enough to maximize the launch...that's not what it was designed for.
