Anyone use 15" Drag Radials?

If so, what wheel are you using. They will be used almost only on the track. I was looking at getting a pair of SLP 16" takeoff wheels and drag radials but I noticed that there are a lot more options in a 15" tire and since I am getting an extra pair of wheels why not 15". I would think that extra width and more side wall would hook better and the whole combination would be lighter right?

I know many 15" wheels won't fit but I could grind the calipers a little. I just want something that is fairly cheap (I'm 19 and on a thinner budget than you can imagine )

Thanks

Try the Centerline Convo Pros. 15x8.5 w/ 5" BS .. no ginding required .... You can get them on Summit for a pretty reasonable price.

Here's a pic of them on my car.

Good Luck

I'm using 325x50x15 BFG drag radials mounted on 15x8 Weld Prostars with a 5 1/2" BS.

Thanks for the help. Those wheels are a little more expensive than I had planned on. I was thinking something closer to the price of SLP take-offs (~$50 each). Are a set of steel wheels like the Nomad-II or AR-767 that I saw in Jegs a bad idea? Can I make them work? Like I said the budget is really tight .

EDIT
They will be for track only so I'm not too worried about them looking good. Black painted steel would be fine with me if it will work.
