Has anyone tried both FTRA & the SS?

Is it worth changing to?

Or can you just buy the lower half?

Thanks

ssra

I have it. I was originally going to get a FTRA but decided to go with a SSRA, just because it is such a better design and does not block off the radiator as much. Defianatly felt a big SOTP gain.

I was thinking about getting the FTRA but now i dont know which one to go with. Which one is better? Does the SSRA hang kinda low or not at all? Am i right in saying they are basically the same thing. Which one should i go with?

They are not the same thing. The FTRA is basically a plate that blocks off the radiator and "guides" the air into the airbox. The SSRA is actually a sealed scoop that forces it into the airbox. The SSRA does feel more fragile cause it made of ABS.

Hi everyone. I'm the Designer/manufacturer of the SSRA. I've since parted ways with a speed shop that I went into partnership to produce these. Everything was fine with the owner of this speedshop until this winter. He then started to refuse to pay me my 50% of the profits. He said his shop was doing poorly and that he didn't have the money to pay me. He runs a top alcohol dragster. He chrashed it at the beginning of this season. He has $30,000 to pay for a new chassis for it, but he can't pay me. Due to this I've parted ways with him. I have trademarked the name "Super Sucker Ram Air" since I came up with the name. Also I was selling aluminum versions of it on the internet before I ever met this *sshole. The good news for you is that since I'm not sharing profits with this guy I will be lowering the price to $199 starting the beginning of June.
A word to the wise, get a contract in writing before you ever enter into a partnership with anyone.

BTW, the SSRA works great.

Sorry about that. Who did you buy it from? The aluminum ones were the first ones I made. They were riveted together. The black plastic ones are much cooler, and they are also designed better.

I am going to be thinking about ordering one of these. Where can i get one for $199? and is it the plastic or the aluminium one? Why would you say this is better then the FTRA? They are both ram air systems.

Let me just repeat this guys. All SSRA's are made of plastic. Call LM Performance or Speed Inc. after the beginning of June.
