Just wondering if anyone has any pics of a K&N FIPK on their LS1. Do you have to remove the air box??

Just trying to get some information on how this is installed, and what all has to be removed. It looks like the air box would have to be removed. Wouldn't this make the radiator unstable?

I can take some pics tommorow. It was there when I bought the car so I didn't install it, but...the entire factory assembly is removed, and it comes with a new "top" piece of metal that sits on top of the radiator.

 

What does the rad. piece look like? Is it the piece that is in the picture? I would appreciate a picture. You can email it to me if you want:

My car came with one as well, it looks nice but I'm not sure I like how it sits open under the hood like that. I've been thinking about making a box for it and having it pull air from where the stock one does, but haven't had the time yet, it'll probably take awhile to get proper fitment and everything.
