Any1 have any info on putting a LS1 in a Chevelle?

Any1 have any info on putting a LS1 in a Chevelle?

my dads looking at selling his current Chevelle ('71 SS big block with a 700R4 we put in it) and try to find another nice 1 to put an LS1 and an A4 in it. doesn any1 have any info or know where i could get come info on doing the swap,what u need,etc etc. we're actually looking for a wrecked F-body to do the swap w/ so we'll have all the parts we'll need.

I second the vote for "hotrodlane". I owned a '70 and a '72 and they had lots of info on different things

It is a bit expensive but you can buy a crate motor LS1 with PCM; specifically made for retrofits into non-LS1 cars. I think there are several companies that are making wire harnesses for old muscle cars like you 71 Chevelle. Go check out the www.ls1tech.com forum like previously mentioned.
