Any tips on installing SLP's LID?

I've got a 2002 SS - just got the lid in.

Also purchased a new K&N Filter.

A few questions.

Any tips on removing the air sensor? Is it hard, or what? That grommet thing, is it just a rubber thing that holds it in place? Will it be hard to re-use it? Does the air sensor thingie have to be at a certain angle?

The rubber sticky thing that came with my filter - does it go on the lid? Or on the bottom assembly?

Anything else I ought to know?

the rubber seal goes on the lid, so it seals to the K&N filter. Make sure you use it or dirt will get into the intake through the gap in the seal. Also, take the air temp out by using a hair dryer or when car is warm, makes it easier when the gromet is warm because it softens up and makes it easer getting it in the lid when it is warm. A little wd40 or simular helps too. I have no idea if the position of the air temp sensor makes a difference. If you look at it is is in kind of a V shape and one end is more open the the other. I put the open end towards the lid. Don't think it matters though.

dont forget to keep your paper filter.. so when you go to the track, you can use it.. It makes more power than the K&N filter.

The grommet comes out easily.. just apply even force on the back with your thumg.. I did that to both the sensor and the grommet..
sensor first then the grommet.
