I completely agree 100%. An SLP Loudmouth with headers and no cats sounds like total A$$ (high-pitched, raspy, poppy, and very unrefined). Absolutely disgusting sound IMO.

If I wanted my "muscle car" to sound like some old rusted out pick-up truck with straight pipes, this is the set-up I'd run. Actually I'd just use a cutout since it sounds just like the LM (and a LOT cheaper).

But hey, at least it is LOUD!

ummm.....i always hear this and i dunno y....anyone that hears my car says while too loud....it does not sound anywhere near as bad as everyone seems to say it does....and by the way, opinions are all well and good but id appreciate not having my car referred to as a "rusted out pickup truck with straight pipes"...

Don't take it personally man, I wasn't referring specifically to anyone's car in general (and certainly not yours).

But sorry, I still think any LS1 powered F-body that is running headers, no cats, and an SLP Loudmouth sounds just like a rusted out pick-up truck with straight pipes (not the car, just the "sound").

Peace
