Get the borla, loud mouth is good but it is always loud, so if you plan on getting headers or an offroad y you will need to lessen the roar of your LS1. Plus borla is stainless and has some nice intercooled tips.

'02 Red Z28, ebony leather, M6, T-tops, Trac. cont., hurst shifter
-Borla (the expensive cut-out)
-Wisperlid W/K&N
-FRA
-Cags eliminator
-Strange 4.10's
-G2 Rear Girdle
-Valv. Synthetic 10W-30
-Redline gear oil
-Fat hurst shift ****
-Lead foot
Soon to be:
Alpine Screen, Orion xtr 800.4, xtr 900.2, Kicker 12L7 in a milhouse, Focal polykev K2's.

I'll admit the Loudmouth might not be the best choice if you are looking towards headers some day. I am very pleased with the sound. But some people don't like the volume. Plus I am "a$$hole" loud as my friends put it.

From what I hear, The SLP Loudmouth exhaust is the same as a Borla running with the wide open plate. I chose Borla because I like the adjustability option as well as the sound.

Performance wise, both will be the same. It just depends on whether you want your exhaust loud all the time, in that case get the Loudmouth. Or if you want to quiet it down sometimes, in that case get Borla.

Thumbs up

Loudmouth all the way, can't beat the performance and sound for half the price. If you want to mellow it out a little you can just get the Hooker large bore exhaust tips $30 at Jegs.com with resonators, and it will queit down ,and you can bolt them on and off very easily if you want to be a$$hole loud on a Friday night

Just ordered my LM last night. I figure the louder the better, some one has to drown out those fart cans!!!

If i may make a suggestion, I used the american thunder flowmasters(( not to be confused with the 80s series))it was under $300.00 dollars from summitt and the sound is awesome. Now you still need to purchase a Y-pipe But the response I got since I put them on was nothing but pos O tive... YOU really hear it when you give it some pedal. and it is not very loud when your at an idle. It just sounds like the old 69..
