It makes posts much easier to read.
Apparently you really need to have the posts be much easier to read.

You can gain horsepower shown at the wheels without gaining horsepower at the flywheel because you're using a chassis dyno which shows the power exerted upon the drums by the tires. Which includes the trans, the driveshaft, the rear end, the weight of the brake rotors, wheels, and tires.
He said over and over again rwhp that means rear wheel horsepower. He never claimed that changing the wheels changed the horsepower of the motor. He said that lighter wheels will let more of the engines hp get to the ground and he's right.

I hear that if you add some Type-R decals, it's good for another 25rwhp

Don't forget the multi-colored flame decals....... they are good for 30HP as well .

I just put in a tornado, eRAM, and 5 decals (multi-colored). So i figure I'm at 750hp now.

For someone making comments about reading comprehension....

If you pay attention, the problem is with the use of the word "ADD." Even at the rear wheels it isn't adding anything; it is just not taking away as much. I never disagreed that it wasn't being less parasitic. It just isn't MAKING or ADDING.

It's all semantics. If you dyno 300 at the wheels then change the wheel tire combo and it dynos 290 then you lost hp at the wheels. If you dyno 300 at the wheels then changed the wheel tire combo and dynoed 310 then you gained or added hp at the wheels.
Didn't change anything at the flywheel but you did change the hp at the wheels which is adding/gaining or subtracting/losing and it'll make the car slower or faster.

Not a thing wrong with my reading comprehension. Your problem with the word ''add'' is that you want to apply all changes at the wheels to changes at the flywheel which just isn't true.

Girls, girls... no need to bicker. Lighter wheels will increase RWHP just as radials will over slicks, etc.

Let's say 300rwhp baseline:
Lid- 5-8rwhp
Catback- 5-10rwhp
Free mods and other minor mods- 2-3rwhp
Total? 312 to 321rwhp, so my guesstime will split that at...316.5rwhp!

I just got back from the dyno. I stayed for about 18 of the 30 cars then it was just too hot. A slp camaro 2002 make 325.5rwhp bone stock and a Ws6 made 318.xx stock. My car ran into a governor and the engine stopped or the dyno guy stopped at only 4650rpm. Heres the numbers with a sort of lean 13.45 to 13.55 air fuel. 288.48rwhp@4650rpm and 330.99rwtq@3xxxrpm.

I just looked at a very similar dyno sheet online (torque within 1 lb and also 287-288rwhp at 4650rpm) This guy got 318@5500 at the wheels. so i was only about 2 rwhp off my guess of 320. Now to get rid of the 130mph governor.

If your car came from the factory with 235/55/16s on it, then you have a 118 mph speed limiter.

Not sure what was on it new, my neighbor had firestone 500s when i bought it, but guess it was a 118 gov. Vette doctors said they can get 15-20hp out of my car with a tune. does anybody believe theres that much to unlock with a basic bolt on car? The air fuel was 13.45-13.55 from 3300-4700rpm. I'm thinking 8-10.

Could be. I'd get it tuned just to get the air/fuel fattened up. That's pretty lean.
