i have a stock except for a cat-back on my auto 01 SS and i was almost taken down by a 08 powerstroke with intake,exhaust, and a tuner. It was too close for comfort so need more power and buddy have experience with hawks third gen STS rear turbo system or would it be better to cam etc... let me know what you guys think thanks alot -mitch

 

There is always going to be somebody faster. I would throw a converter and a cam in it, though, for starters.

cams are good only if the rest of your system doesnt have any major bottlenecks. the stock exhaust manifolds are such a bottleneck. get lt headers, cam, stall, and youll b e significantly faster.

 

This plus 3.73 gears and a tune.
