All GMMG people inside!!!

Im thinkin about getting the GMMG exhaust. Ive heard nothing but good comments from their customers. Awesome sound with no rasp! But my questions are: SHould I spend the extra $150 and go for the tips? Thoughts? Opinions? And how long did it take for them to ship it to you? All comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sure ... why not?? You're already dropping $800 on a couple of chamber exhausts that retail for less than $200 and about $150 worth of exhaust tubing ... what's another $150 for tips?

You won't be disappointed with the GMMG (It's $700 shipped BTW v6toz28.) As for the tips, I wouldn't pay $150 for them (there are a lot of better looking tips out there). I bought my GMMG exhaust through a group purchase at http://www.f-bodyhideout.com for $650 shipped. Talk to SleeperZ96BT at f-bodyhideout.com for details.

BTW, check out the Mecham oval exhaust tips (they look a lot better than the GMMG tips).

I wish I could hear more sound clips & video clips other than whats on the gmmg site. Is idle alot louder? the SLP exhaust on mine hides its *****. I was on the f-body hideout site of when they sent the money in and when they received it. But GMMG probably delayed shipping till the desired amount of GPs was met. Or am I wrong?

as for V6toZ28 .... any company sells their product for more than its worth....... thats how they stay in business and pay their workers. Something that sounds really good and performs like none other... gets my $$$

Buy it with the tip. If you don't like them, sell them. Since they can't be bought seperatly, there are usually people willing to buy them from you. I think the are awesome. I still have mine from before I got rid of my GMMG. Now I have a dynomouth with the GMMG tips!!

My buddy has Jet-hot LT's with the cats in and the GMMG. Sounds great, hes picking up almost no rasp and still doesn't drone at all. The GMMG behaves very well if you leave the cats in. I have heard (not personally) that without cats it can get pretty freakin loud and kinda raspy. Darkhalf on LS1.com could comment more on this. As for the tips, I think they are GREAT, and if you have a firebird (formula, TA, etc) they compliment the car very well. As for the price of the tips being $$$, which it is, they make BARELY anything on them. I'll put it this way, when we had a huge GP on the catbacks they sold us the tips for $125, which was at a loss to them........
Brian
BTW, just remember that shipping is included on their catbacks and tips. If you've ever seen the box the catback comes in you'd understand that it is pretty $$$ to ship.

GMMG with stock tips?

Call me a wierdo, but I LOVE the stock tips on the Z, humble, yet classy, they are slick. I was wondering if it would be possible to put my stock tips on a GMMG system?

I bought some aftermarket Z28 tips from fast toys.......the outlet for the tips is 2.5 inches. The thing with the stock setup I think is that it is offset a little bit to space out the tips evenly. I am not sure the GMMG is offset like that. Mine ended up both facing in so they are a little closer.........So I would guess that ou oculd pull it off.

I also think the tips are pricey, but damn are they nice though. Wish I could see more pics of those tips on a Camaro. I was also thinking of using the stock tips (polished of course) or some tips similar to the premiem tips that Corsa has.

I hope there is GP soon enough to have it arrive at the location in the US where my Z28 awaits my return from overseas. I would like to have it there by early summer so when I go back on vacation I can have it installed. Would make my vacation much more enjoyable.

ive heard nt but good about the GMMG as well. im gonna see if the 'ole FM sounds ok with my new LT headers and ORY - the cats and if not ill be looking into a GMMG myself.

and as for tips in sorry but i think the stock z28 tips kick ***. i have the RS body kit and the stock tips look way better than any round tips IMO. anyways the stock ones are getty messy and im gonna purchase these Custom Polished Stainless Steel Z28 Style Tips from FastToys.
