Hey! Yes, the car should chirp twice when you lock it, if it chips once it means the rear hatch or a door is ajar. It should not chirp when you unlock it, unless the shock sensor has recorded something or someone tried to gain entry via the doors. I believe it will chirp once if the shock sensor was activated and twice if someone tried to gain access(I can't remember but it explains it in the owners manual). I do know that the red light on the dash will flash twice every 2 seconds if the shock sensor is activated and flash 3 times if someone tried to gain access to the vehical. Anyway, no problems as of yet, every thing seems to be working just great! And yes, Im very proud of my problem solving and installation skills!! hahahaaa..... Im good!
