Shoudl I remove my air pump off my 99Z? It only leaves the garage on nice dry days so it is not a daily driver. I have heard there are lots of benfits to removing the air pump. What does everyone think?

the only thing you get by removing it is you lose like 8lbs if you take everything off

 

Will it clean up the engine compartment as well?

 

Will it throw a code?

I'm going to do it one day just to clean things up. It says you won't throw any codes.

It will throw a code and cause your cats to fail prematurely. Cleans up the engine compartment and saves weight. Might as well toss the EGR too...
