air pump question

air pump question

just had ls1 edit done last night, had the air pump turned off, i want to remove it, to get rid of the annoying air check valves clicking, have mac headers with high flow cats and y-pipe, is it easy to remove the air pump

Yes, pull off all the hoses, and make sure you have block off plates for the headers. The air pump is on the drivers side behind the turn signal and headlight. Jack the car up and there are 2 or 3 10mm bolts you have to take out, and the panel will bend down and voila! its right there.

Since you have the codes deleted you should be able to pull the AIR PUMP fuse to disable it until you get around to pulling everything.
