Post Air intake question

Is there any difference performance wise between the SLP air lid and the whisper lid?

Thanks, the SLP one is cheaper, it surprised me only $98, I spent more on the air lid for the V6.

Does either one come with a hose to by pass the air silencer, like on the V6 version?

Talking

I just looked at the SLP units and was not impressed!

I was on their website where one person had issues with his. He went to the SLP shop since he is local to them and their "engineers" said that the reason his didnt fit properly was because "some are just made better than others". That reason alone made me not want theirs.

I have personally decided on the whisper lid. Sure its $40 more but I think its worth it if I get the smooth look and better build quality.

The issue the person was having was that the edges one the front would look as if they were not fitting properly and would bend upwards.

I witnessed this on several cars at a car show during the SLP Customer Appreciation Day in Ennis TX.

sort of, they dont have a hose, but the design of the lid itself is such that the MAF attaches right to the lid, eliminating the air silencers all together
