What is the right replacement air filter part number for original 2002 SS with 345 Dual-Dual performance package which included "high flow induction system"

Was this hi-flow system the SLP #21045 Air Box Lid?

Then, is #21115 SLP/Donaldson "Hi-perf free flow Synteq air filter" suitable?

I don't want my dealer use anything but original SS SLP originally provided parts...

Please help.

 

I'd go with either K&N of PowerShot, but personally I don't know which paper airfilter came with an SS.

 

I think it's just the lid that is different so any 98-02 f-body filter will work.

Use the Donaldson paper filter. It flows better than
the K&N.
Do not use a K&N. They are the worst filter.

Why do you say that the holley is the worst filter?

 

actually any of the cotton gauze or foam filters restrict more than flow..

I have done dyno tests for myself to prove it.

Paper is all I run in my car..

 

Which one filters better? Im not flaming or anything, but have you ever seen those K&N filter demo things at automotive shops with the fan and ping pong ball?

 

The K&N was not designed for our air box, stock one that is.

It needs a rubber gasket. This filter was originally designed
for a Jeep brand vehicle. It will leak air pressure when
you punch it.

The SLP engineer, Jeff Y. tested it for us in NJ.
The Holly is accecptable after the Donoldson paper element.

Yes.

I fell a little better pull when I punch it with the
Donoldson filter. The Holly I had felt slightly different.

two different days multiple passes on each day.. 3rwhp loss with K&N and Amsoil filters.

Where do you get the donaldson filter?

 

You honestly think you could do back-to-back runs, while someone else randomly changes filters (or doesn't), and you'd be able to determine which filter was in there?

I'm skeptical. We're talking 1-3hp one way or the other, a less than 1% difference.
