Ah! Horsepower..is fading..
okay I've got a 2000 Camaro Z28. When i first got it it would just rip the tires when I floored it. Now when I floor it it just kinda moves it still has kick but not as much as it used to. I very seldomly floor it. I dont like to be harsh to it but im noticing that the horsepower is dropping or it feels that way. I changed the oil, looked at the filter. Their okay. I havn't checked the spark plugs yet but I will. Any ideas?

#1 Frame of mind, your mind actually changes as you drive a high horse power car for an extended period and makes it seem slow as you'll constantly expect more and more out of it as you become used to the rush of a V8... When I purchased my LS1 I accidently tore up the tires pulling out of a parking lot because I gave it as much gas as I would a Chevy Blazer and the difference was night and day... ...but a year later (and after nearly getting a speeding ticket) It doesn't feel anywere near as quick but I also don't harp on the gas...not to mention the LS1 feels slower than it really is, it decieves me quite a few times aswell...
#2 These cars were biult and ment to be driven hard, failure to take it over 2K RPMS over extended periods can possibaly clog the fuel injectors as unburnt fuel collects thus robbing you of performance... My advice is to run some Seafoam or Lucas fuel injector cleaner through the gas and have alittle fun with her, SAFE fun that is but make sure the RPMS get up there... I did this on a road trip and saw some decently high speeds on a few occasions and noticed it was alot snappier than before I ran the injector cleaner / drove it hard...
If that doesn't work, Spark plugs / O2 sensors are the likely cause...
It could just be warmer weather too. When it's cooler out, the tires don't grab as hard as they do in the warmer months when the compound softens up. Temperature also affects HP. An LS1 will make more power when it has 40*F intake temps vs. a day when the intake temps break over 100*F. So, match poor traction and good power in the colder days and the car seems like a beast. Dial back the power a little and get some traction in the warmer months and it feels a little sluggish.
Want proof? Run your car at the track early or late in the year when the weather is cold (ie when you need a jacket to keep from shivering). Also, run it in the dead of summer around 2pm in the afternoon when it's 90*F out. I bet you the times will be at least 0.2 seconds off with the slower times being in the summer.

Plugs.. Or Fuel filter like mentioned... .
or........
... Dr. Bayer's prognosis: You're beginning to show early signs of the mod bug... You're just getting used to the car (also mentioned above). When it feels slow is when you start to fantasize about mods...
I think I'm struggling with the same sickness...
Time for a cam....

i have a problem, my valves r ticking for the last few days and recently.....stoped the clicking noise and is now lossing power. i think my problem is that i hurt one of the lifters from reving it to high. the LS1 recives valve float a 5850rpm and if u redline it to much it will blow a lifter. i need to fix this problem and wonder if a cam swap, new lifters, chromeoly pushrods, and new springs will fix this problem????? it feels like a cylander is missing now and i have no check engine light. ne advice would be appriciated.

Almost every thing that you said is mis-information.
Valves don't tick
You can NOT hurt a lifter in a stock LS1 from rev'ing to high.
LS1s valves do not float at 5850. They work just fine all the way to the 6180 red line and beyond.
And yes if you were to replace the whole valve train I'm sure that you'd fix the bent pushrod that you have.
That probably means that the pushrod it bent enough that it came off the rocker or maybe a rocker came apart on you. Once the valve doesn't open anymore then you have a 7 cylinder car.
