Does Hooker offer just black ones?? I need headers just so I dyno tune my cam... I don't think the mid-lengths are what I want... so who has the cheapest long tubes??? Thanks!

Once again Jeff to the rescue! Thanks brotha!

Hey... D Speedworks said it's $500 to tune that beast... and to get the cam I want... a TC and headers are needed ... so... I gotta figure out something... I'll try and sell my stupidly huge house stereo... maybe I can get some jack for that...

Pacesetters are the cheapest LT header available for the LS1, but in this case, you get what you pay for. Pacesetter headers seem to be very inconsistent with fitment quality. I have heard many problems with the headers hitting the heater box, blocking the oil drain plug, and other misc banging problems.

They are a new product, so it could just be that they need to get some bugs worked out, but if I were you, I'd spend the extra couple bucks and get the Hooker LTs.

Alright... I'm thinking the black Hookers... and in a couple of years, takin' them off and having them coated.... what's the cheapest I could get out of if I got the black ones and a y pipe??? Maybe I'll run around for a few weeks with open headers on a huge cam/3400 stall TC car... no.. serious though... Hooker seems like the way to go... I've never seen the Hookers in black... how much were they and the y pipe again?? Thanks allot guys!!!

Check this out.

Jet-Hot longtubes + catted Y-pipe (removables, can replace with straight pipe) shipped to your door for $952. The Y-pipe alone is $423, the headers are $529.

Might be worth thinking about.
