F-bods with TCS/ASR (traction control have 4 channel ABS 2 rear sensors one at each wheel.
F-bods without TCS/ASR have 3 channel ABS 1 sensor in the top of the center section on the rear.
Any 98-02 with 3 channel will interchange any with 3 channel
Any 98-02 with 4 channel will interchange with any 4 channel

I need to be sure --->
I always assumed that the 3-4 channel ABS system was dependant on the year produced,.... 93 to 97 was 3-channel and 98-up was 4 channel. ( I do not know if that's true !! )
Here is my delema ..... can anyone help ??
I have a 95 Z WITH FACTORY TRACTION CONTROL.
I have a set of new 4.11's to compliment the T56 tranny.
I have set of 98 & Up Front disk brakes ready to be installed.
* Waiting to install the front brakes until rear end work is done with the better rear brakes to aviod the dreaded nose "dive" under hard braking.
Was Planning on buying a 98 & Up rear disk ( for the larger brakes) and installing the 4.11's into that rear end. I planned on getting a 98-up rear end WITH traction control and installing it into my 95Z once it was prepared.
* I think that I need to make a bracket for the different E-Brake cables........ Is that correct ??
My Questions :
1) Do I already have 4 chanel ABS in my 95Z28 LT1 (w/ASR) ??
2) Can I (do I need to) upgrade the ABS under the hood to accomodate the 98 & up rear end with Disk brakes. master cylider, ABS pump, booster,.... Anything ???
3) Can I (do I need to) downgrade the ABS on the 98 & up rear end to accomodate my 95Z28 ABS system ??
4) Am I better off just buying a 98 & up rear brake system to replace my existing LT1 rear disk brakes ?? You know - buying the backing plates, calipers, rotors, Cables and upgrading my smaller brakes that way ?
I want to KEEP the traction control !!
Thanx in advance !!!!
