A4 shift knob

A4 shift ****

Does anybody know how to remove the shift **** off the A4's??

On the side of the shift **** facing the radio is a metal pin that looks like a large staple. Take a small flat head screwdriver or pocket knife and pry out the staple. Once that is out, just pull up on the ****, there is nothing else holding it on. If its never been off before, you might need to twist it a little while pulling up.

Thanks for the reply.........BTW can you put the metal staple back in after you remove it?

yeah you can put it back, but it is tough.
