I have a set of C5 rims I'm going to put onto my 99 Z. What modifications need to be made to get them to fit. I know that the center hole needs to be filed out. but I'm worried about the backspacing. Also whats the largest tires that can fit on these rims. 17x8.5, and 18x9.5. thanks for any help.

 

id to 245 in front and 285 in back or 275

You don't think I will need a spacer in the back to fit a 285? Right now I have aftermarket 18X10.5 ZO6 rims with a bunch of back spacing and 285 nittos, and they still rub alittle on the inside of the wheel well. I run autocross and was going to try to fit at least 265's on the front, was hopping for 275's, what do you think. I need as much grip as possible.

 

i had ss rims with 315 on back 275 in front they were 9"


i have 17 by 11 afs zr1 with 315 in back


and no rubbing

 

but the corvette rims have alot less backspacing, I think.
