A buddy of min has a 98-99 trans am. He was driving his car the other day and the security light came on but kept running, he turned the car off and when he went to re-start it it didnt do anything. He tried 3 times before it finaly started. He got it home and went out to start it the next day and nothing. All the lights work, all accesorys work, but no click, no nuting. And the Security light will no go off. What are some possiblities of this problem?

 

something could be wrong with the key that little chip on the key could have gone bad and that would kill the car starting and also throw the security light.

 

did his gauges work still?????????

 

he tried 3 keys and same thing. I am not sure if the guages worked or not. i will find out.
