98 Trans Am, Should I buy?

I am looking at buying a 98 trans am from a dealer.. it is white with 2 blue stripes going down the front and has 90k miles on it.. I was wondering if the price they were asking was worth it (13500).. Im getting a trans am no matter what although I was looking at camaro SS's too, but was just wondering if this was a good deal or not.. tight budget thats about my spending limit so any advice would be kewl thanks.

First off, despite what the salesman may tell you, that car is NOT a 30th Anniversary TransAm, those were only made in '99, and it sounds like the previous owner added those stripes to make it look like one.

The price seems just a little too high if I were buying it with that mileage. You can probably find a comparable car for that price with less miles. I've been seeing '98-'99 non-Ram Air T/As go for low 13s with around 35K on the clock. Just look harder and find the best car within your budget.

about a month again i found an 98 auto TA TTops Dark blue with 91k on the clock asking 10400 origonally...they were down to 9600 by the time i left...car ran like a champ for the 1/2 hour test drive decided that 91 was a little to high for me though...ended up settling for my car which had 61k...so yes its pretty high for what your looking at...something like that could, should go for like 8 grand...keep looking.

That price is definately too high for that many miles. I paid 14k for my 99 with 40k miles on it. I'd pass on that particular car and find another trans am/formula with closer to 50k miles on it.

But if you get that TA then definately talk them down on the price. Good luck.
