Well dont kno if anyone knows about the tropical storm that hit va last week.
Needless to say. I tried to drive through some water... guessing it was'nt deep... well the car just shut off water sucked in the exhaust and stupid of me tried to start it.. possible bent a rod.crank, or anything inside..... :'( now she wont start... already turned it into insurance... talked to the shop that is going to fix it about what we can do... and he said.. they will more than likely buy a junk yard motor to put in it... but im thinking about paying the deference for a reman Ls1 or maybe even a Ls2... idk what i should do... any suggestions anyone? Should i just stick with a reman LS1 or the Ls2? anyone kno if its a hassle?
ive been reading about the ls2's have elec throtte bodys? and the Ls1 have cable? just would like to kno before i start tearing apart my wallet... thanks guys

With luck, you probably sucked water into the intake and only bent rod #7. I did the same thing a couple years back, then broke the starter trying to start the car. I replaced rod/piston #7 and it was back to normal.
Have the shop do a compression test and they can find out what's wrong pretty easily.
