98 front caliper rebuild question

I am trying to rebuild a pair of front calipers from a 98 in order to do the LS1 upgrade on my 97 convertible.

I need a pair of caliper piston rubber boots but I don't want to pay the gouging price at the dealership which seems to be the only source for 98 and later brake parts. I have noticed that the rear guide pin boots from my 97 are identical to the guide pin boots on the 98 front calipers but I would like to know if I can use 2 rubber caliper piston boots for a 97 rear caliper in a 98 front caliper. The front caliper pistons on a 98 and later car measure about 44 or 45 millimeters in diameter if that helps any. Fairly obscure question, I know but your help would be appreciated.

Thanks
