6.0 L camaro?

i'm pretty sure my friend doesn't know what he's talking about, but he says that in late 2002 camaros there were 6.0 Liter motors in them. he swears that his neighboor has one. i know an LS1 can be modified to 6 liters, but is this stock?

Maybe he's thinking about some of the 01/02 cars coming with the LS6 block? LS1 is an RPO code - have him check the codes.

Either:

A) he's confusing 6.0L with LS6, as was just stated (LS6 block being the same 5.7L block that the '01-'04 Z06's used),

B) he's thinking of a Berger/GMMG "ZL-1" Camaro, that had a couple LS6 offerings,

C) he heard that '01/'02 LS1's switched to the LS6 intake and the 6.0L "camshaft", or .....

D) he doesn't know WTF he's talking about!!

Bet him on it! Make some $$ off this or get him to do something funny. Like wearing an "I'm a DA" sign all week.

He could be taking about a ZL1 car too. The odds of that are slim to none though. They only made 69 of them and they were all upwards of 100K when I saw them at carlisle a few years back. Those had 427 strokers though which would be a 7.0 I think.

That is 6L there...
