Is it possible to get 450+ HP with out NOS or a supercharger?? And if so whats the most powerfull mod you can get????

 

Bolt-ons, headers, an agressive cam, and nice heads will get you there.

We have to watch out for those damn smog checks out here. If only California would loosen the the noose around our engines and the harmful by-products they emit . I wish there was a store/shop around here (Orange County) that could give one state legal preformance parts info, without ing all of the time.

As said above, bolt-ons + a nice H/C combo should put you well over 450FWHP. Hell, bolt-ons and just a cam should put you very close to 450FWHP, if not a little over. I'm assuming that you're not talking about RWHP.

 

I agree. My boss has a ws6. Heads, cam, headers, catback, port n polish ... couple other small things and he dynos close to 500. His heads and cam alone got him about 95 I think.

I dont want to get in a pissing war with someone who doesnt believe thats true. I'm just letting you know the facts.

 

If I'm not mistaken don't Winston Cup engines produce around 750HP? And I'm pretty sure they don't have blowers or NOS on those. Pretty broad statement to say a V8 can't make 450. A 454 can make 450 w/o breaking a sweat. I hope you were joking with that comment.

Forget the heads. A cam and bolt ons will get you ~425rwhp on the LS1.
