427 ls1...

can a standard ls1 engine be bored out to 427 ci??? and how much would it cost?

doubt it, w/o strokin it you'd be lookin at approx. 4.422" bore if i did the math correctly

No, the 427 LS1s are based off of the C5R race block.

Just about everything.

Longer stroke, wider bore obviously. They probably add more structural support and different this and that's.

It probably still bolts up to everything due to external dimensions being the same. But everything inside is gonna be changed.

I believe 382 or 383 is the biggest size an LS1 can be bored out to.

Boring and stroking are two completetly different things. You cannot bore a LS1 to 383 or 382. You can stroke an LS1 to 382, but you cannot bore it.

you can go over 382 with an all bore motor with the right sleeves..

you have to resleeve and ls1 to bore it.

all of the big motors are strokers.. however the only one to use the stock bore is the 382

MTI does a 387 Bore but i've never heard of anything larger than that. Not on a factory LS1/6 Block

Aluminum 427's are...king. Act now and for only the retail of your car (not exactly, but close enough), you can have one of these beasts.
