i have a stock 02 camaro 6spd manual and am thinking of switching the gears to get some more ooommph but don't want to do it myself.

Question: how much for the parts and where have you guys ordered online (where) and where would i take it to be done (how much all in all?)

Check the board sponsors for a list of vendors that carry gears. Generally speaking you can get them for about $200 for the gears and, depending on the shop, another $300 for installation. Maybe a little more if you want to factor in new bearings, seals, gaskets, and rearend fluid.

 

I paid $150 locally for Motive 4.11 ring/pinion. Installation can run you as much as $500 depending on how much you replace as long as you're in there.
