You can just install and drive it. Just make sure you have a tranny cooler because that is a must. Shift kit is a good idea to firm up the shifts but it is not needed like the tranny cooler is. After the install you can see if you have any TM issues and if you do then just delete it. Lots of A4 folks here have deleted TM with a TC and had the trannys survive a long time.

Good luck
yes i do have a 00 Ls1 so then the torque management won't be a problem if i get a 3500 stall? i really dont wanna delete it because i don't want the trans to break and i dont have that much money to get a new trans

You should be fine. There are no guarantees but the most common years to have issues are 01 & 02. 98-00 will be ok in most cases but there are some exceptions. But I seriously wouldn't let that stop me from doing the single best mod for our cars. Even if you have to remove TM it's not gonna kill your tranny within a week. I know guys who have run 30k+ miles without TM.

The 4L60E is not a great transmission. Unfortunately we have to accept the fact that our transmissions will fail before 80K in many cases. I'd rather have my transmission last 50K with a kick *** 3500 stall then 80K on the stock one. But that's just me. My advice is go for the 3500 stall and see what happens. If you throw codes and have some problems then remove TM. Then save a little from each paycheck to eventually pay for a beefed up 4L60E or even better a TH400.

Good luck with whatever you decide and always enjoy that ride

P0757 is the code that pops up sometimes with the 2001/2002 models after the torque converter upgrade. It refers to "shift solenoid B stuck on" but the problem is not the solenoid. Get rid of TM and if it's a real big stall (4000+) you may need to raise the shift points so you don't bounce the rev limiter.

Not major tuning but just a little tweaking to make it all run like a champ
