315 tire fitment

Im thinking about doing the ZR-1 wheels with the 315's in the rear on the 17"x11", but I herd that it is necessary to role the fenders on the rears to avoid rubbing. I really want the rims and tires but I dont want the paint to crack at all. I also have the Eibach Sportline kit so I think that it only worsens the problem. Is it 100% necessary, and what is the best way to do it?

Thanks

The ZR1 offset wheels will require you to roll the fenders. The Grand Sport offset wheels fit better IMO, but do require you to clearance the inside of the wheel well with a body hammer.

I have eibach's (the lowest of the two) w/ 17x11s, and no rubbing issues at all. I haven't clearanced anything. ZR1s w/ a spacer.

I rolled mine just to be safe - I was afraid they'd hit during hard cornering (like in autocrosses), so I rolled the fender lips just in case.
A fender roller + a heat gun == no paint cracking...

good luck,
