I have seen others do 315's on the 17x9.5 SS wheels but most tire manufacturers recommend an 17x11" wheel for a 315 tire.

The SS wheels are only 17x9.......however I have seen them on a 17x9.5 rim and they look like complete ***. You definatly need a 17x11 rim to use a 315 tire.

The 10 spokes are 17x9, the ZR1 Style are 17x9.5

315 on anything less than an 11 inch wide wheel distorts the side wall and bows the tread. Just because they fit on a narrower wheel does not mean you should. Launch, cornering, and braking are worsened by the tire being mounted on anything less than an 11 inch wide wheel.Fact.

regardless of what others say, regardless of how badass it looks, it is NOT recommended by ANY wheel or tire manufacturer and is unsafe. i dont care how long others have been ok on it, it is still unsafe. if you want to run a bigger tire, run a bigger wheel, dont be cheap.
