285/40/17 on a 98 z28 up front - will it rub?
Discount tire said the max that will fit is 275/40/17 on the front. I've seen a lot of cars with 285, and I'd just like some reassurance from the PROS.

ya preety much.......285 is a lil too much
i have 275 and rubs the slightest bit......i think

I asked the same thing recently on LS1.com because I want that size tire. I was reassured that it works fine by several folks with them. So this coming spring I will find out for sure.
