i picked up a set of real ws6 wheels dirt cheap (from a buddy) and came with 1 almost brand new 17 inch goodyear tire. i was thinking about picking up another tire, and running the 17" 275's on the rear, and keeping my stock 16" 245s up front, until i could afford 2 more 17" tires.
besides it looking crappy with mismatching rims, are there any real issues with this? (besides speedo possibly being afewmph off)

i don't think the speedo will be off as i believe that the 16's with the 245/50(or whatever the profile is)/16 is the same size (height) as a 275/40/17. they should be the same and if it is different i am pretty sure they are so close you won't notice a difference, maybe like 1-2 mph at the most
go here to compare overall diameter:

looks like a perfect match, except wider in the rear which is what you'd want anyway. plenty of hiperf cars have bigger rims in the rear....but they're tuned with high R&D dollars so i dunno if slapping on 2 17's would help in the cornering dept.
