205cc intake runner guys check in...

Any regular posters here running 205cc intake runner heads? I am specifially interested to see numbers on 205 heads with smaller-ish sized cams.

Examples would be;

AFR205s with a TR224
Dart 205s with a 221/221

Stuff like that is what has me interested.

Thanks guys,
Ben T.

i'm with you...although i'm looking at it for bigger cams.

i've talked with 2 places...TSP and VRE and they both reccomended the Dart 205s for my application and intended goals (street car, boost in low and mid range).

but i have yet to see many guys really use them or get any numbers.

hoping on getting the heads this summer

however to throw a monkey in the wrench...i noticed that TrickFlow now has heads out for the LS1. and they have a 215cc intake runner...which would be a nice compromise between the 205 and 225 heads that Dart or AFR offer. only part is the $$$$...almost $2300 for a pair. and they have a 64cc chamber...where the Darts have 62cc which will help boost compression a touch.

Ok off the top of my head...

293 cfm @ .550 lift (intake)

Lunati 221/221 cam .565 lift

Does that help any?

I was looking at those edelbrock heads P&P'd by lingenfelter. They looked kinda attractive for the price and if they carry the lingenfelter name they cant be too bad of a package. They're 202in//83exh, anyone used them or know anyhting about them?

Mark B on Getonitracing used the F14 and Dart 205cc heads and put down 451/423 through the ported stock TB and LS6 intake manifold.

I just finished H/C on my CTSV.

AFR 205 64cc
Fast 90/ls2-90
Kooks 1 3/4
Comp 223 lsk/228 xer 116
E. water pump

442rwhp/397rwt Stock idle and passes Cali sniffer on crap Cali 91 octane gas.

A pulley will go on this weekend and with more tuning, 450+ rwhp is possible I think.

damn those are some promising numbers. maybe i WILL make my goal of 450rwhp with the heads.

but i think it will be closer to 440. i should be at 400rwhp right now, so i'm not expecting 50hp from the heads.

thanks for the numbers guys

The 205s are worth about 30 rwhp over the stock LS6 heads, from a swap my buddy did.
423 stock ls6 heads
451 Dart 205cc heads

I would get rid of the Harlan Sharp's, they are heavy over the valve and are robbing you power.

Stock rockers are fine.

Well, since everything works together as in matched components.... oh well, whatever.
