Post 2002 Z DIFFERENTIAL IS NOT PAINTED

Not a big deal but i am curious if others are the same. I bought new two months ago. I have never seen any GM that was not painted black. It is already rusting and has a 84 in yellow paint just to the left of the cover. Thanks,

GM got cheap. I haven't seen any 4th gens with painted rear ends.

It's hasn't been painted on any of the fourthgens I have owned.

I've seen one or 2 with painted covers though, from the factory.

Only the 35th anniv. have painted rears.
