2002 air lid

Question 2002 air lid

Just got thru putting on a LS1 motorsports air lid and Holley filter.I didn't think I would be able to tell a differance,was I wrong!It really made a differance you can feel!What exactly does the additional filter do ? Thanks

You got two filters?
they similar?
did one come for the air tube? (i think thats what they call it.. From my research 01-02 need an added filter...)

Yea it's for the air tube,says in the instrutions its for 00&newer Z's.looks like a K&N,pretty small.I was wondering what the air tubes for.I new to the Camaro owners world and tring to figure it out.

The air tube is the tube that was coming out of your stock box, your supposed to cut the tube and stick that filter in it. Then ziptie it to something so that it doesn't keep moving around. It filters the air for the air system. What the system does, is for the first 2 minutes after you start your car, the air system puts air into your exhaust so that any unburnt gas or oil can burn up.

I think thats right, someone can correct me if its not.
