Post 2001 Z28 Traction Control

How do I bypass or disable the traction control on my 2001 Z28 in my opinion this is a gadget for ladies who cant drive a muscle car. I would like to have the option!

Don't you have the switch on the dash next to the foglight switch?

Or do you mean permanantly ? If that's the case, I believe SLP sells a part that everses the function of the off/on switch so that its always off unless you hit the switch and turn it on.

If you don't like it then get the part to fix that problem. As for the lady comment. I'm one and I CAN drive a muscle car. Been doing it since I got my license over 14 years ago.

I will say that the traction control did come in handy once for me. We got a snow storm (totally unexpected) and I was able to keep a steady pace and was able to make corners safely without any danger to those typical drivers who CAN'T drive in the snow. So it really isn't a bad thing. All a matter of opinion.

Cool

Try this....

and look under Computer/Electronics for the TCLM - Traction Control Logic Module. I personally haven't installed it on my car, but it sounds as easy as 1-2-3. Almost like the CAGS module for the 1-4 shift skip.

Blue by you, I didnt mean to offend anyone I was refering to typical women like my wife who needs all the help she can get I will agree there are times that it would come in handy and probably a good thing to have but in the Houston area snow is not something I have to worry about. I have respect for anybody that can handle a hotrod with 310hp at the rear wheels I do plan on bypassing it I just dont know how. Thanks for all the information and comments

Why dont you just turn it off when you get in the car? It would be way easier...Plus you will probally pop service engine lights when you disable it...

But with our freaky rain, you should use it when its wet out.. Too many freaks on the road and in Humble there are too many slick asphalt roads..

If I were you, I would get it to be reversed and not disabled. It may save your a$$ one day.
