2001 SS Factory Ride Height
2001 SS Factory Ride Height
I recently purchased a 2001 Camaro SS. The previous owner took the factory springs and cut them to lower the car. It has a very harsh ride so I was thinking about putting eibachs under it. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me the factory ride height(from ground to where fender starts straight above center of wheel) so I can decide whether I want to lower 1 or 2 inches. Any help would be grateful. Thanks
i am not sure about the exact hieght because some were lowered an inch and some were the same height as the z but i will say check out dms springs imho much better then eibach look in the group purchase section there is a huge sale that was going on and some pics in there.
With the 1LE option on my 2002SS it sits at 27.5inches at all 4 corners. I measured from the ground to the highest point in the wheel arch. However this might be different than SS' with the Bilstein or regular suspension that came on the car when new. By the way I have the complete SS suspension off of my 99SS. I ordered the Bilstien option on my 99. When it got to the dealership it had the regular SS suspension. Before I would pick it up I made them install the Bilstein option on it. This stock SS suspension has no miles on it. I have 4 Dicarbon shocks, 4 springs, and 2 lower control arms for only $200.
