The A4 loses a little more horses over the M6. I'd say it should dyno 315 rwhp. I have heard claims of as much as 335 stock and some as little as 300 but I think 315 should be close on the A4 bone stock.

WS6 stands for GM's code for the beefed up, sporty suspension on the Firebird.

315 rwhp stock? For an A4?

It would be doing really well to touch 300 rwhp, IMHO. A really healthy '01+ M6 will go 310-320 rwhp.

I believe I've seen some #s for stock '01+ A4s on the board, and they were in the aforementioned range.

What he said

Plus the ws6 package is a better exhaust and the bad a$$ looking ram air hood with the dual nostrils. Not a bad ram air either especially if the BG ram air kit is installed to close the gap between the nostrils and the air box assy.

I wanted one so bad but the Formulas are rare and the Formula WS6 is even rarer. I love the Formula over the TA however for the sleeper affect and less weight.

If your considering buying a 2001 WS6 then I highly recommend it. Very cool looking cars and the 2001 has the benifit of LS6 intake. If the price is right then ****** one up

Yeah I think Chris is right. I was a little high on the A4. But I have seen 98-00 A4's dyno 300. It's rare but it happens. I think you'll probably see 305 for A4 and maybe 315 for M6.

How much faster is a 01 WS6 compare to a 99 Z28 both a4 and bone stock? from what i know is WS6 has an extra edge because of the ram-air induction, and has a better exhaust system than the Z which most of the people change anyways.

Which one is higher BTW...WS6 or Firehawk??????

What you have to remember is that if you throw a cold air kit and a cat back on ANY LS1 they are all about equal. Then it's down to driving skills.

Both cars will be very close in acceleration, but the WS6 should be slightly faster.

No it's not Robvas. The 99 z28 A4 is Ls1 intake, normal exhaust, no CAI and average dyno would be 285-295 to the wheels. The 2001 WS6 A4 comes standard with LS6 intake, upgraded higher flowing exhaust, functional ram air hood (CAI) and should dyno anywhere from 300-310.

So the 2001 WS6 should have a slight HP advantage and a little extra help from the ram air hood. But this is not that big of a deal. A few cheap bolt-ons/free mods and the 99 z28 is right there and then some.

Yeah man.....that's what i learned too, when you start changing everything, doesnt matter which LS1 you have.....it comes down to the mods.

Someone correct me if im wrong.

around 300 rwhp...numbers vary widely though from car to car...01's and up seem to be a bit stronger the 98-00
